2005 Vintage

Pinot Noir - 4 Barrel

The 2005 4 Barrel is composed of the four finest barrels from around the state, thus giving this bottling a "California" appellation designation. Miron and Kanzler Vineyards from Sonoma Coast, Koplen Vineyard from the Russian River Valley and Garys' Vineyard from Santa Lucia Highlands form the blend. The richness and complexity of the vintage makes this a wine worth cellaring for 1-6 years.

Aromatics:

Dark blackberry, smoke, spice and cherry.

On the palate:

Bold dark flavors introduce this powerfully structured Pinot Noir. A combination of plum, cherry, wild raspberry and blackberry are supported by firm tannins and acid. This Pinot Noir shows a mingling of both red and black fruits, interlaced with spice and sweet oak.
