Our 2002 Cohn Vineyard is from nearly 40 year old vines at the northern most tip of the Russian River Valley. The vineyard sits atop a hillsite with reddish rocky soil and is planted to entirely old Dijon clones.
Reveals classic Russian River aromatics of rich, dark cherry, cola, chocolate, and vanilla.
The vineyard produces rich, concentrated and layered fruit year after year. The 2002 is no exception and fills the palate with luscious dark cherry and chocolate with undertones of raspberry, cassis and vanilla filling out the palate and carrying across the finish. This wine is also deeply structured and will continue to drink well over the next 3-5 years.
