We have been fortunate to work with Cohn Vineyard fruit since our first commercial Pinot Noir release-the 2000 Cohn Vineyard Pinot Noir. Reaching almost 40 years in age, Cohn Vineyard produces Pinot Noir with extraordinary depth and complexity. This wine is showing classic Russian River characteristics along with deep structure, rich mouth-feel and a wide array of aromatics and flavors. The 2004 Cohn Vineyard Pinot is from a mixture of old Dijon clones and was aged for 17 months in French oak-40% new oak. We recommend cellaring this wine for a couple of years and enjoying it over the next 3-7 years.
Rich raspberry and cherry laced with creamy vanilla, white pepper and cola.
Juicy raspberries, cherry and sweet spice with an elegant, deep structure. The mid palate runs deep with plum, and ripe, black cherry, finishing with lingering vanilla, cola and wild strawberries. Elegant, yet deep, this wine evolves beautifully in the glass.
