The Koplen Vineyard lies in the Middle Reach of the Russian River appellation, just off Olivet Road. Slightly sloped, this young vineyard is showing bold fruit with complex flavors. Dennis Koplen farms the vineyard and Kosta Browne is the only producer to take fruit from this vineyard.

Aromatics:

A mix of briary berries jump out of the glass, a prelude to full, ripe fruit ranging from raspberry and blackberry to juicy plum and cherry.

On the palate:

Unmistakably full bodied, but complex in the vast array of fruit profile. Raspberry, blackberry, dark cherry, cassis, and plum play off each other on the palate. The structure is evident in the finish, where silky tannins offer a vehicle for the lingering berry fruit.
