Pinot Noir - Russian River Valley

The 2001 Russian River Pinot Noir exemplifies the true nature of the Russian River Valley with notes of dark fruit, deep structure but well balanced. This wine is a blend of Cohn and Koplen vineyards and spent 17 months aging in French oak. This wine is drinking at its peak, where it should stay over the next several years. Enjoy.

Aromatics

The nose is filled with aromas of dark fruits-plum, and bing cherries, with some orange blossom to fill it out.

On The Palate

The beautiful nose is a prelude to a layered and complex palate filled with cherries, truffle and pepper. The wine finishes long with elegant structure and intensity highlighted with briar and black truffle notes.
