Our most vibrant 2001 Pinot Noir, the Sonoma Coast blend is an elegant, silky wine that is reminiscent of a young Burgundy. This wine was made from grapes from the Carinali vineyard in the Sonoma Coast appellation. This appellation is cooler than the rest of Sonoma County, leading to low yields and long hang time that helps produce complex, deep flavors. This wine is drinking very well and should be consumed in the next several years.

Aromatics

A gorgeous nose of red fruits, cherries, violets and orange peel.

On The Palate

Focused acidity frames the elegant structure of cherries and strawberries with a hint of coffee. The silky, full mouthfeel leads to a finish of bright fruit and supple, well-integrated tannins. A terrific food wine.
