Our 2002 Sonoma Coast is a blend of two vineyards: the Carinalli Vineyard and the Kanzler Vineyard. The 33% that comes from the Kanzler Vineyard is a blend of clones 115, 667 and Pommard. Both vineyards lie in the Petaluma Gap just south of Bodega Highway in Sebastopol.
A complex nose of bright red cherries, cloves, and spice fill out the bouquet on the 2002 Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir.
The palate is bursting with bright cherry, hints of blueberry and candied orange peel. Showing elegant and well balanced acidity and brightness, this wine is balanced by depth of fruit and an opulent tannin structure, making it perfect for a casual sip or pairing with the most complex cuisine. We recommend that you drink the 2002 Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir over the next couple of years.
